Rob Manger is an A grade ARDS Instructor based in Hampshire UK.
Rob has over 20 years race and performance driving instructing experience on race circuits, test facilities, and roads worldwide, for race schools, automotive manufacturers, private clients and corporate groups. Robs Local circuit is Thruxton where he is a senior instructor at the Thruxton Motorsport Centre. Looking after clients 'in car', at track safety and technique briefings, ARDS race licence courses and corporate hosting etc.
Away from Thruxton, Rob has vast experience at all the UK race circuits / airfield sites and test facilities. Specialist knowledge of Goodwood & Castle Combe as well as Thruxton have helped many track students at these fabulous but sometimes daunting venues! Outside the UK some of the venues Rob has experience of include: Laguna Seca, Ascari, California Speedway Fontana, etc. He is also a passport holder for the world famous Ford test facility in Michigan. Aswell as instructing Rob has run events for corporate clients and manufacturers (both in and outside of the Automotive industry) including Technical and sales presentations, training modules, team building sessions, driver selection programmes etc. Rob has a race history including many categories of single seaters, saloon cars, and sportscars.
In 2009, highlights included driving for Ferrari in the new 599HGTE at the Goodwood Festival of Speed & winning class B of the Ian Taylor FF1600 memorial trophy at Thruxton.
2010 saw Rob Give the Ferrari 599GTO it's public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Another highlight was carrying the TV cameras for on board footage at Castle Combes 60th anniversary meeting in his Austin A35 in the 50's celebration race.
2011 saw some notable race performances in the RMR prepared Ford Fiesta both on a 'sole' driver basis and also sharing the car with Steve Carter a driver who Rob has coached from novice to front running racer over the last 3 years. A third consecutive drive at the Goodwood F.O.S. for Ferrari this time in a California. Historic duties once more included some more giant killing antics in the Team Wessex Austin A35.
Automotive in-dealer sales & tech training in 2011 for BMW & Vauxhall continued to add to Rob's skillset.
